Without access to potent scenes/subcultures, you tend to create your own translations and meanings. It’s like solving a rebus with symbols you’ve never seen before. And while solving it you create new contexts and interpretations, a parallel universe where skaters are angels floating through the air. 

This collaboration is about dreamy references from both fields, it's about being part of a subculture and the love you can feel for your peers within that group. A chaotic but whimsy force and a rebellious but controlled one collide, a tension between soft and structured defiance. The collaboration also references being a girl in a very male-dominated context, the sacrifices you have to make to be a part of it, and how to reclaim what was taken away from you.
